Raised Eyebrow was one of the first businesses in BC to sign on as a Living Wage Employer; it’s one of a handful of unionized technology firms in the province; and it offers employees a “no overtime policy” that’s unique in BC’s high tech industry – IT firms are exempt from BC labour standards on overtime – and the ability to spend 10% of their at-work time on projects of their choosing.
Our partners and staff actively give back to our community in many other ways, including serving on nonprofit boards, mentoring women entrepreneurs, and supporting a wide variety of social, environmental and arts-related causes. We're frequent contributors at Vancouver events for nonprofits and open-source geeks alike, and we're proud members of the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN).
As a company, we pride ourselves on maintaining long-term relationships with clients who turn to us as their trusted advisors when it comes to concrete decision-making around their online strategies, the implementation of website and social media projects and broader communications planning. In the eleven years Raised Eyebrow has been doing business, we have established a strong track record for reliable service, valuable strategic advice, elegant interface design and solid final products. We are committed to understanding our clients’ goals, priorities and contexts, and in building capacity within organizations through education and empowerment.
We have been unionized since 2006. Today, as part of UFCW Local 1518, we are proud to be one of only a handful of unionized web studios in British Columbia.
