Out With the Old
The Raised Eyebrow team was instrumental in not only designing and developing a visually appealing website, but in helping us create a communications strategy to drive it. Their expertise in online communications is immediately apparent, but their personable and approachable way of doing business is what really made this project a success and resulted in an end product that works well for us and our audience.
Watershed Watch Salmon Society
The Watershed Watch team first approached us to help them define and refine their overall online communications plan. With a distributed team working around the province, and a past emphasis on personal connections in the scientific, academic and government communities, they wanted to spread their work a little farther and help the general public better understand the plight of BC's wild salmon.
We worked with them to develop a strategy that helped them re-allocate staff resources from making laborious & painstaking website updates (their old CMS was outdated and required staff to hand-code HTML) to using social media tools, analytics and keyword monitoring to better connect with allies and prospective supporters.
In With the New
Once the strategic goals were in place, we moved into execution mode, designing and building a new website using the WordPress CMS, that allows visitors to find relevant information by topic as well as by content type (e.g. news, resources, etc.). The group's now-active social media stream plays a central role in the new design, too.
Our design approach reflects Watershed Watch's uniquely scientific focus, and the clear-headed perspective they bring to the often heated context of environmental issues. The new site speaks to the organization's forward movement and supports them in making more effective use of their time.
