Online Strategy
Whether you’ve been online for years or are just starting out, we can help you jumpstart your planning process with creativity and clarity.
We’ll begin with an analysis of your organization, communication goals, and audience. We’ll help you evaluate your key messages and develop audience profiles. From there, we’ll look at how your audience can best be served online, and what tactics might work best for you.
We believe a successful project relies on having solid, measurable goals based on your specific priorities, so we don’t promote a single approach for every client. If you don’t need a blog, we won’t push one on you. And if it makes sense for you to do something different from the rest of the crowd, we’ll let you know.
What we will do is focus on our work on translating your organizational goals to work on the web — and we’ll do that with an eye to the concrete.
We’ll look at return on investment and evaluating the relative financial and human-power demands of online and offline communication vehicles, whether you’re translating offline campaigns to the web or developing a fresh online marketing strategy.
Key deliverables:
- a clearly-defined project plan (with recommendations for functionality, budgeting, design, and content);
- a firm budget; and
- an achievable schedule with regular check-in points.
Site Architecture
The Modernist design axiom, “Form follows function,” is one of our guiding principles at Raised Eyebrow. No matter how beautiful a web site might look, it isn’t worth much if your visitors can’t find what they’re looking for. Broadly speaking, “what they’re looking for” is content .
Mostly, your content is going to be text of some sort — and possibly some images — but depending on your audience, the information you present is going to have a variety of purposes, formats, and styles. The site architecture phase is all about organizing your content so it’s accessible, findable, engaging, and easy to use.
Working from the project plan and any existing content you may have, we’ll help you put together a content map and navigational structure that ensure your site communicates clearly and effectively to the outside world. We’ll also help you identify areas that could benefit from additional and/or updated content.
Key deliverables:
- site architecture
- content map
- content gathering list (to aid you in developing and/or revising your web site content)
